Visalli eager to get back to WSL action.

In an exclusive first interview with Brianna, the Albion midfielder shared her excitement to be the third signing for the club in this January window after two seasons at Houston Dash in the American NWSL.

This is the American midfielder's third spell in the WSL having previously played for West Ham and Birmingham City, and she wants to hit the ground running with her new teammates.

She said, "When I first left the league, I kept looking back and reminiscing and thinking about what it would've been like had I stayed.

"To get this opportunity again, I'm ecstatic. I'm hungry to get to work and help the club.
"I kept looking back and was impressed with where the league was headed and where the women have taken it so far, so to come back is an honour and I'm delighted to be a part of it again."

Meet Brianna Visalli!

Visalli reflected on her time in the NWSL and described the fundamental playing qualities that she can utilise to help Albion move forward.

She added, "I think playing in the US has added a bit of edge to my game, in the sense of understanding opportunities and taking them fully. Something that I can bring to the group is energy, whenever I contribute to something it's 110%.

"Everyone can expect me to do everything in my power, I'm looking forward to both sides of play and getting to work to help the team to where they need to be.

"I think it's important to remind yourself that it's a competition with yourself, to put myself back in this league with its competitive nature is the next big challenge for myself to develop as a player and person.

Visalli took time to appreciate the facilities at the American Express Elite Performance Centre and is eager to put in the work to attain positive results.

She added, "The facilities and player care resources put into the women's side is blowing my mind. It's an understatement, this completely surpassed what I'm used to. It surpassed my expectations, it completely blew it out of the water."

The Albion midfielder is excited to work under the new head coach, Jens Scheuer, and believes the German's playing philosophy resonates with her own values on the pitch.

"I'm really excited because the philosophy that he has communicated early on is hard work, that's who I am as a player and person," she added.

"To have that opportunity to grow and have a coach who is aligned with that philosophically is encouraging. I want to be in that competitive environment and his experience is exciting too. As a footballer, that's what you look forward to."
