Goals from Neal Maupay and Davy Propper made it four points in four days for the Seagulls, who now have an eight-day break before their next Premier League game at Crystal Palace on 16th December.

Burn said, “A point against Wolves and beating Arsenal is a decent four points and now we’ve got a good break going into the Crystal Palace game. We’ve had a tough patch, but we’ve come out of that and picked up some points and we are pleased."

Dan Burn tussles with Adam Traore.

Burn’s tussle with Wolves’ wide-man Adama Traore was one of the most intriguing personal duels of the afternoon – and it was a challenge the defender enjoyed.

He added, “You can see why they’ve only lost two games all season. They are flying in Europe and they’ve got the quality. They are very good on the counter-attack, but I thought we dealt with that well and Maty (Ryan) pulled off a few good saves.

“Every week you play against someone like Traore. Last Saturday it was Mo Salah, a couple of weeks ago it was [Manchester United winger] Daniel James and then there’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for Arsenal on Thursday. He’s very quick, but I enjoy testing myself against players like that and getting experience - I thought I did okay.

“It was a tough battle and I didn’t get as forward as much as I normally would but with Traore’s pace, you’ve got to cover yourself a little bit more. I tried to body check him at one point and he put me flat on my backside! He’s so quick and strong, you can see why he’s playing at this level. But I thought we dealt with him well.”

Burn revealed he had been sick during the warm-up, “I had a bad stomach, so I had to go and be sick," he said. "I haven’t felt too good but I got through it. I think I ate something dodgy a couple of days ago, but I was happy to play.”
