Neal Maupay celebrates his equaliser.

The Frenchman levelled the scores at 1-1 with a clinical left-footed finish for his sixth goal of the season, and is now eager to continue improving in what is his first campaign in the top flight.

He said, “To score two goals in a week is a good feeling. We had a great win on Thursday, but unfortunately we didn’t get the three points on Sunday, so we need to keep believing in ourselves.

“We are a good team as well, with good players, so we need to keep working hard. Personally, as it’s my first season in the Premier League, I’m still trying to settle in.

“I am doing okay, with six goals so far, but I can do more. I am working hard every day to become a better player, and score more goals. Hopefully I will be able to do that and help the team to get more wins.”

Great week for Maupay

The forward reflected more on the game in general and admitted a draw was a fair reflection of the contest, before he looked ahead to a mouthwatering clash against Crystal Palace next Monday.

“I think so [draw being a fair result]. It was a tough game for us, and to play our third game in a week is never easy.

“We played Liverpool and Arsenal before Wolves, who are a good team as well. We are not completely happy with a draw, but we’ll take a point at the end of a tough week.

“When I signed here I was told that the Palace game was a big one for the fans. It is for us as well, so we will look to recover, work hard, and get ready to try and win this game.”
