Leo Ostigard

Leo Ostigard joined the Seagulls from Norwegian Eliteserien side Molde FK in August 2018.

He signed a three-year contract at the club, initially linking up with Albion’s under-23 squad.

The defender made 12 appearances in the Premier League 2 Division 1 during his debut season, scoring twice in Albion’s 4-2 victory at West Ham United in December 2018.

The 22-year-old spent the 2019/20 season on loan with German second division team St Pauli, following an impressive year there up with a season at Championship outfit Coventry City.

The defender played a key role in ensuring the Sky Blues retained their second tier status, having been promoted from League One the year before.

Leo joined Stoke City on loan for the first half of the 2021/22 season, making 15 appearances in all competitions, before heading to Genoa for the second part.

He made 13 league appearances for the Serie A side, as they were relegated from the top-tier.

Ostigard has represented Norway at various age groups, scoring for the under-21s in a UEFA European Championship qualifier, while also finding the back of the net at the 2019 FIFA Under-20 World Cup.

He went onto make his senior debut in March 2022, in a 2-0 win over Slovakia.
