Goalkeeper Maty Ryan praised the players in front of him after a welcome clean sheet helped Albion collect a precious Premier League point at Molineux yesterday.

Ryan had little to do in the goalless draw such were the efforts of his team-mates in front of him in a match of few clear-cut chances.

He said, "There were plenty of positives. We fought hard, were hardworking and professional and did all the things you need to do when you come to places like Wolves.

"I like it when we can shore things up at the back. Even on days when you don't score if you don't concede you get something so that is another positive for us."

Highlights: Wolves 0 Albion 0

It was Albion's first clean sheet since the 2-0 win over AFC Bournemouth in December.

"It was nice to add one to the tally, but we have to keep our standards high and try to better ourselves and I think we did that against Wolves," added Ryan.

"We need to show the same for the last nine games. You have to be competitive and want it more than the opposition - that is probably more important than the tactical side of the game. The rest of it flows from that. If you win your individual battles that's the basis for winning games."

Ryan also praised the impact Alexis Mac Allister made when he came on for the last ten minutes. The Argentinian midfielder produced two excellent free-kicks and also drove a shot wide in an impressive cameo.

"He showed some nice touches. On set pieces he asked questions of their defence and I thought he was calm and composed on the ball. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come."
