Norma, 76, suffers from dementia which has stopped her going to matches at the Amex. Her devotion to the Seagulls even stretched to buying a home near Withdean so she could get to games more easily and her family call Norma ‘Nanny Seagull’ in recognition of her lifelong support.
She is a resident at the Camowen care home in Worthing and was nominated for a Christmas Wish by Deputy Manager Donna Gilbert.
‘Mullers’ paid Norma a visit and presented her with a bouquet from Flowers Unlimited. He was shown Norma’s wonderful collection of photographs of her with past and present Albion stars.
Donna said: “Supporting Brighton has given Norma a huge purpose. Because of her dementia she is unable to watch games now, so Alan’s visit was a wonderful surprise for her.”
