Loan report: Ten in action in the EFL and abroad

Here's the lowdown on the weekend's action for our players out on loan.

Ten Albion players made appearances for their loan clubs over the weekend.

EFL

Yasin Ayari teed up Blackburn’s early opener against Plymouth Argyle in the Championship, but the Green Army found an equaliser with 15 minutes to play. Andrew Moran was an unused substitute for John Eustace’s team.

James Beadle’s Sheffield Wednesday were beaten 2-0 by promotion chasing Leeds United, while Jeremy Sarmiento was unable to stop Ipswich losing 2-1 to Cardiff City, with Callum O’Dowda scored a late winner for the Bluebirds. Carl Rushworth's Swansea were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Bristol City.

Marc Leonard setup up Jon Guthrie’s header to equalise for Northampton at Cambridge United, while Jensen Weir’s run without a win for Port Vale reached a tenth game as they were beaten by Shrewsbury Town – Jack Hinchy played the first hour in midfield for the Shrews. Imari Samuels was an unused sub in Fleetwood's goalless draw with Stevenage.

In League Two, Ed Turns’s Crewe Alexandra lost 2-0 to Doncaster Rovers.

INTERNATIONAL

Vitesse Arnhem lost 3-1 to RKC Waalwijk as Kacper Kozlowski played the full 90 minutes for Vitesse - Adrian Mazilu was an unused sub. Steven Alzate made his 19th league appearance of the season in Standard Liege's 1-0 defeat to KRC Genk.

Deniz Undav stepped up his return from injury as he came on for the final 30 minutes for Stuttgart in their 2-0 win at Union Berlin, with Mo Dahoud coming on as a late sub for the winners.

Abdallah Sima (Rangers) and Kjell Scherpen (Sturm Graz) weren’t in action for their teams due to injury.

WOMEN'S

Chelsea Ferguson's Lewes face Blackburn on Monday night, while Lulu Jarvis was an unused substitute for Reading in their 1-0 win over Charlton in the Championship.

Libby Bance and Comfort Erhabor weren't involved for Rangers and Hearts respectively.
