Red Roses star Jess Breach can’t wait to see World Cup rugby returning to the Brighton and Hove Albion Stadium as one of eight venues for the 2025 tournament in England.

In the men’s competition in 2015 Japan pulled off one of the greatest shocks in World Cup history when they beat South Africa at the stadium.

A decade on it will be the turn of the women to enjoy the experience of playing on Sussex soil. She said, “After 2015 with the boys, it’s amazing to have rugby come back to Brighton with the girls for the 2025 Rugby World Cup.

Jess Breach first played rugby in Sussex at Chichester RFC.

"Brighton is a brilliant seaside city where I played when I was younger which makes it even more exciting. Hopefully we will see a lot of you there in 2025!”

A former sprint hurdler at the English Schools Athletics Championships, Jess started playing at age six at Chichester RFC. In 2018, she moved to England Sevens and was part of the bronze medal-winning team at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and played at the World Cup Sevens in San Francisco.

Jess Breach will be hoping to be part of the England squad at the 2025 World Cup.

In January 2019, she returned to XVs as one of 28 contracted England players. Since then, she has been an integral figure in the Red Roses set-up and was included in the squad that made the Rugby World Cup final in the delayed 2021 tournament.

Winger Jess has won 28 England caps and scored six tries on her debut against Canada and five more in her second appearance against the same opponent.
