Brianna Visalli scores her second goal in Albion's 5-0 win against Coventry United.

Brianna Visalli was delighted to play her part with two goals as Albion returned to winning ways with a 5-0 victory over Coventry United on Sunday.

Visalli opened the scoring with 17 minutes on the clock before netting her second in the second half against the Championship side, as Albion secured their place in the quarter-final of the Vitality FA Cup.

"I'm really glad that we were able to build on our last performance and it's always exciting to be involved in the FA Cup too. Hopefully we can get to Wembley!" Visalli said.

"To help the team get the win is even better when you have that direct impact with a couple of goals.

"It's always good to capitalise early and take a deep breath to settle into the game to focus on the things that need to get done. To get on the scoresheet early helped and let us us focus on important aspects of the game."

Visalli pleased with Coventry brace

Three goals came in the closing stages of the match with Geummin Lee accompanying Visalli in scoring twice.

"In the last 15 minutes teams have a tendency to take their foot off the gas and I think we saw people step up on Sunday. Hopefully that hunger and desire makes the team competitive - that's exactly what we will need when we're in those bigger games. No one's position is guaranteed."

Jens Scheuer's Coventry United reaction

The American midfielder believes the squad can build on from today's victory as they prepare for a run of tough WSL games in the coming weeks.

"It's definitely helpful to get that confidence and gives us a bit of a boost, we have two games coming up [against Chelsea and Manchester City] which will be good tests for us but we're looking to build on Sunday's performance and sharpen up even more," she added.

"I definitely think we have things to look at positively as well those things we need to learn from. We need to keep chipping away at that as a team."

There are six WSL clubs and two from the Championship in the quarter-final draw, which is live on BBC One's One Show from 7pm tonight. The other teams are: Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Reading, Aston Villa, Birmingham City and Lewes.
