Adam Webster is out with an ankle injury, but is aiming to be back after the international break.

The Albion squad have full confidence in Graham Potter's approach according to defender Adam Webster.

Three consecutive defeats sees Albion heading into the weekend's fixture at Southampton with only goal difference keeping them out of the bottom three in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old believes though that if he and his teammates execute the head coach's plan in each game, then they can take points from any fixture.

The defender is confident he and his teammates can turn around Albion's recent run.

“We've got a manager that believes in the way we play and we as players believe in that. We had a sticky patch a few months ago where we weren't getting the results, but we have full faith in the process and we turned it around, now we need to do the same.

“In January we turned it around off the back of that difficult week against Newport, Manchester City and Leeds. We've had a couple of tough weeks recently, but we're all confident that we can get the results we need.

“We get to play in a team that any player would want to be a part of because of how we play. The gaffer gives us the best chance to go out and win every game.”

Webster also says that the Albion backline have been delighted with the impact the Spanish stopper Robert Sanchez has made to the side in recent weeks.

Adam Webster has been delighted with the impact of Robert Sanchez.

“I have been really impressed by Robert – some of the saves he makes are unbelievable. He is so laid back he's nearly horizontal and that carries over to the defence. He is a big presence and he's so powerful.

“When he's coming for crosses it eases the pressure on the backline and we want him to do that. At Liverpool in the 93rd minute we had a 1-0 lead and we were defending a corner but he comes out to the penalty spot and grabs the ball with about five men around him.

“We all celebrated after that because it was such a big moment. When you've got a keeper doing that it's amazing for the team.”
