Andi Zeqiri has impressed head coach Graham Potter.

Andi Zeqiri is ready to fight for his place in the Albion team according to Graham Potter.

The Switzerland under-21 international joined earlier this month from Lausanne-Sport and has made a good impression on the head coach.

“Andi brings something different to the group. His movement is good, his desire to play football is incredibly strong and he wants to fight for the team, so he is pushing.

“He is still settling in. He went away on international duty so we've not had too much time with him, but what we've seen I really like. We can see his quality and now we have just got to help him fit into the team.”

Potter will be without Alireza Jahanbakhsh on Monday against West Bromwich Albion, while Jose Izquierdo will be involved with the under-23s tonight against Leicester City.

“Alireza is still recovering from his hamstring injury. Jose Izquierdo should get some game time tonight. We’re fully fit apart from that.

Alireza Jahanbakhsh picked up a hamstring injury in the Carbabao Cup against Manchester United.

“Davy Propper is making good progress and has trained this week. He will be assessed towards the end of the week, but he is available providing there is no reaction.

“Christian Walton is making good progress, training with the team and getting stronger. I expect he is going to be pushing for some game time pretty soon and we’ve been happy with his rehab.”
