Albion celebrate Trossard's equaliser, but the celebrations were short-lived.

The new Premier League season is about to kick off but whatever happens on the pitch, Albion have already topped the table thanks to our stunning new home and away kits.

Fashionistas at sports radio station TalkSPORT ranked the designs of every club’s shirts and Albion’s designs were rated top in both home and away strips.

Designed by our technical partners Nike and with a nod to the classic blue and yellow kits worn by the club when we reached the 1983 FA Cup final, the strips have already proved massively popular with Albion fans.

TalkSPORT, one of the Premier League’s broadcast partners, say Albion have got it ‘bang on’ with the blue home shirt. “By far and away the classiest kit in the Premier League this season, Brighton and Nike have got it bang on,” they said.

“The white pinstripes as opposed to thick blocks like normal are so aesthetically pleasing, but the simple white collar is what really makes this kit bang.

“Unlike plenty of Premier League rivals, the Seagulls manage to combine their primary sponsor seamlessly into their new kit and it just looks the business.”

They are full of praise for the yellow away shirt too. “It has subtle diagonal stripes in the design and the blue collar and trim goes nicely with the rest of the kit. A real winner and deserving of top spot on the list.”

Head of commercial Russell Wood said, “We have had a fantastic response to our new home and away kit this season.

“Our fans love the simplicity of the design but also that it reflects one of the famous periods in the club’s history when we got to Wembley for the first time.”

Senior marketing manager Anna Easthope added, “We were confident it was a winner when we launched it and it’s nice to get national recognition from TalkSPORT.”
