Teddy Jenks has signed a new deal with the club.

Teddy Jenks has signed a new long-term deal with the Seagulls until the end of the 2022/23 season.

The 18-year-old, who made his senior debut against Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup at the Amex last September, signed the new terms at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre earlier today.

Technical Director Dan Ashworth said, “Teddy has made a big contribution to our development sides this season and that has been rewarded by the opportunity to work with our senior players in recent weeks.

“We’re delighted that he has chosen to commit his long-term future to the club and we’re now looking forward to helping him continue his development.”

Jenks has enjoyed another fine season in Albion’s youth sides, becoming a regular in Simon Rusk’s under-23 team. He made 12 Premier League 2 appearances, and a further three in the EFL Trophy.

He has represented England at under-17 level, and this season played a key role in Albion’s run to the last 16 of the FA Youth Cup earlier this year, finding the back of the net in an impressive away win against Derby County at Pride Park.

He is currently part of a 30-man first-team squad, which has been boosted by a number of players from the club’s development squads.
