Seagulls skipper Lewis Dunk wholeheartedly believes Albion have what it takes to retain their Premier League status as they gear up for the for the final nine games of the season, with Arsenal the visitors to The Amex today.

The 28-year-old believes that sticking to the principles set-out by head coach Graham Potter will go a long way to securing safety, as well as the know-how of being in a similar situation before.

Dunk said, “We know our principles and the way we want to play, knowing that we have done it before. We can fight and stay in this league and find that bit extra – like we have done in the years before.

“This is the best league in the world and it’s where you want to be playing. If you go down it’s not easy to come straight back.

“A lot of us have played in the Championship and tried to get into the Premier League for years, so now we'll do our very best to stay here.

Bruno's cut-out in place prior to the restart.

While 1,200 Albion supporters will be in attendance at the game in the form of cardboard cut-outs, the captain is expecting today’s fixture to have a different feel to it without the noise of a crowd behind him and his teammates.

“We all have a role to play. We have to find motivation without the crowd behind us,” he added.

“I have watched the first few games on TV and it has been eerie, even with the match noise on the TV. It will be strange for everyone, but we have a survival fight on our hands. We are not in a comfortable position – we have to bring the motivation ourselves and do our best to stay in this league."
