Leandro Trossard celebrates scoring against Norwich.

The Belgian provided an astute finish at the near post from Martin Montoya’s cross to break the deadlock against the Canaries, and is eager to continue contributing with assists and goals.

He said, “It’s a nice feeling to help the team get a victory and to also keep a clean sheet. It’s a nice feeling for us and hopefully we can build on that again going into next week, which will be another tough game [against Manchester United].

“I like to play between the lines, find space and help the team by getting assists or scoring goals. If you make the right runs, then you can get the ball and score. That’s an important thing for all the forward players in this team.”

Trossard admits he would prefer to be in from the start rather than coming off the bench, but explained how much he is enjoying his football under Graham Potter’s tutelage.

"You’re always a bit disappointed if you’re not starting, but it’s the coach who decides and you have to deal with it and respond on the pitch. I feel like I’ve been doing that.

“Overall I’m really happy and feeling good, as there are no restrictions for me on the pitch and I want to keep going in this way.

“It’s a really good feeling now that we’ve won three in a row at home, and we have to keep building on that.”
