Gross has created 25 chances in 692 minutes of football at the time of writing, and the German is determined to continue being the main supply line for his teammates.
He said, “My biggest strength is to create chances, and I try to help the team with my strengths. I’m very pleased, but I want to keep going with the team and create more and more chances.
“Hopefully we can score more and more goals, defend well and get some extra points on the board. We want to improve, both me as a player, and as a team too.
“I do think that I am improving as a player. I am playing nearly every week at the top level, and I always try to be as consistent as possible. Overall, I feel that I am a better player than two years ago.”

The 28-year-old spoke about the forwards which are benefiting from the chances he is creating, and praised the attributes of Neal Maupay, Aaron Connolly and Glenn Murray.
“Neal, Aaron and Glenn are all different, and you need to get to know the type of striker you are playing with by passing or crossing the ball in the right way.
“It is good to have different types of strikers; you can see they are all dangerous, so it makes us stronger as well.
“We have a target man who can score from half chances, and quicker strikers who can stretch the defence and score by making good runs. It is good to have these options.”
Attention turned to Saturday’s match at home to Norwich City, and Gross highlighted the importance of securing a third consecutive home victory, but is wary of the threats which the Canaries will pose.
“We have great fans at home and it’s always hard for teams to play at the Amex. That’s been the case since I’ve been here, and that’s why we should be confident when we play at home. We’ve won our last two games at home so we should be satisfied with that.
“Norwich play good football and have some quality players in the team. They have done very well in some of their games, and we must be at our top level to get the three points we want.”
