Graham Potter in good spirits.

The Belgian picked up the knock while away on international duty at the start of September, and the head coach spoke about how pleased he is to now have the 24-year-old back in contention for the side, as well as the midfielder's adaption process after moving to England over the summer months.

He said, “He came into the environment at the start of the season from a new country and that has a whole host of factors involved, both on and off the field.

“It’s a new league, but he grew into the competition and I thought he was getting better and better until he picked up that unfortunate injury.

“He’s not back to square one by any means because he’s already got good experience and he has the knowhow of the league, but we still have to make sure he’s on the field at the right time for him and that he has the right amount of minutes by doing things in a good way.”

Trossard celebrates his first goal in English football.

Trossard scored his first goal in English football against West Ham United at the Amex in August, and Potter continued to discuss how the former KRC Genk man had become well-accustomed in all areas on and off the field before being sidelined at the start of last month.

“I have no doubt about Leandro in terms of his ability and his future at this club, we’re delighted to have him and I’m sure he’ll be a fantastic player for us,” the boss continued.

“He’s had the experience of the physicality of the league and it was a bit of a case of going into the unknown for him at the start of the campaign - we’re learning about him all the time.

“He’s also now had time to settle into the country too, he has a young family and left his home to come here, all of those are things to consider, but he’s got a good place in the group.”
