Mikey Harris was delighted after his side came from behind to win at the King Power Stadium.

Mikey Harris praised the character of his side after they came from behind to claim a ‘massive’ win over Leicester City.

Albion won 3-2 at the King Power Stadium having trailed 1-0 and then regained the lead seconds after the hosts had made it 2-2 thanks to Elisabeth Terland’s 16th goal of the season. Substitute Madison Haley and Katie Robinson had earlier netted in the space of six minutes as Albion climbed to eighth.

Interim head coach Harris said, “It’s a massive win. I’m absolutely delighted with the character and resilience of the players, to come back into the game after going behind and then score so quickly after they equalised.

“Leicester carry a real attacking threat and although we conceded two goals we always feel that we’ve got goals in us. Fortunately, we managed to score three.

Albion celebrate their first win at the King Power Stadium.

“I didn’t feel it was our best performance with the ball especially in the first half, so when that’s the case you need to show togetherness and that’s one thing that his squad have got. The whole group contributed - the substitutes had a massive impact and helped us get the three points.”

Albion are looking to make further moves up the table in the closing weeks of the season.

“We knew that we could move up the table by winning today and we want to finish as high as we can and if we can keep performing with the levels of character and resilience we showed I think that’s possible,” added Harris.

“We won’t be dropping our standards – we want to keep improving. It’s a long process, and we’re still early in the journey. We have to keep trying to be a bit better every day in all aspects of the game.”

Albion are back on the road again next Sunday when they travel to West Ham United.
