Katie Robinson made her 50th start for Albion against Liverpool in our last WSL fixture.

Interim head coach Mikey Harris says Katie Robinson is in ‘a really good place’ to help Albion climb up the WSL table.

Harris takes his side to Ashton Gate today to face Bristol City, who sit bottom of the table five points behind Albion.

Robinson, who will make her 50th start for Albion in their last game against Liverpool, has been in excellent form since Harris took over last month.

“I think Katie is in a really good place,” he said. “The experience that she had in the summer at the World Cup, to be away for the best part of two months and training every day with that level of players in the Lionesses was an amazing experience for her.

“But you need time to decompress from that experience, particularly as a young player, and she’s done that. She has been a real threat in the games since I took over and I’m really pleased with her progress."

Mikey Harris's Bristol City press conference

Harris went to Spain last week to check on Robinson and Poppy Pattinson, who were on duty with England under-23s. Maisie Symonds had been named in the squad but had to pull out with a back injury.

“I managed to get over to the camp just for 36 hours to watch their first game against Spain," added Harris. "It was brilliant to see the players represent their countries live, and great for Poppy to end the game as captain.

“I caught up with them after the game to talk about how the last few weeks have been. I’m big on asking the players for feedback and Poppy and Robbo are players I respect and I value their views.

“Watching Robbo in an England shirt last week and looking a threat in both games was great to see and hopefully she can go on and impact the England senior team at a high level and keep doing well for Brighton."
