Dahoud scores as Stuttgart continue Champions League push

Starting in the Championship, James Beadle kept his third clean in six appearances for Sheffield Wednesday, with their 2-0 win over Millwall moving them to within five points of safety.

Jeremy Sarmiento came on for the final 20 minutes of Ipswich's 2-1 win at Swansea City, with Carl Rushworth playing in goal for the Swans.

Yasin Ayari and Andrew Moran were both unused substitutes in Blackburn’s 2-2 draw with Preston North End.

In League One, Marc Leonard scored his third goal in four League One appearances with a stunning strike against Bristol Rovers in the Cobblers’ 3-1 win.

Jensen Weir was a second-half substitute as Port Vale were beaten 3-2 by Cheltenham Town, while Jack Hinchy played the first 70 minutes of Shrewsbury’s narrow 1-0 defeat to Wigan.

Imari Samuels was an unused substitute in Fleetwood’s 2-1 defeat to promotion chasing Barnsley.

In League Two, Ed Turns made it four games unbeaten since joining Crewe Alexandra last month, helping the Railwaymen to a 0-0 draw with Harrogate.

While Deniz Undav couldn’t add to his 14 goals in the Bundesliga during Stuttgart’s 2-1 win over Darmstadt, Mo Dahoud scored the first goal of his Stuttgart career with what proved to be the winner in the 91st minute.

Kacper Kozlowski played for 75 minutes in Vitesse Arnhem’s 1-1 draw with FC Voldendam, while Adrian Mazilu was an unused substitute.

Steven Alzate played the full 90 minutes of Standard Liege’s 2-1 defeat to KVC Westerlo.
