Shane Nti scored the only goal of the game in the win over West Brom.

Inigo Calderon’s team made it two wins from three in Premier League South on Saturday as they beat West Brom 1-0 in the West Midlands.

For the only goal of the game, Remiero Moulton played in Harry Mills, who got to the byline and pulled it back for Shane Nti who calmly passes it into the bottom right corner after seven minutes.

The result lifted Albion above the Baggies and into ninth spot, for what was Albion’s third win in 11 outings in Premier League South.

Under-18s head coach Calderon said, “It was a really good game. We’ve been working and training well. I was glad that for a long period we had control of the game and we looked good.

“I think the victory and three points was well deserved, we didn’t give them the opportunity to equalise. When it’s 1-0 there’s always the risk that the other team score, but overall I am really happy with the players because they got to see their hard work in training sessions pay off.

“It’s a good way to go into a new week and hopefully we can build on it.”

The under-18s are in FA Youth Cup action this Saturday as they face Leeds United at the Amex Elite Football Performance Centre, kick-off 3pm.
