Roberto De Zerbi's team have won 24 of the 50 games he has been in charge for.

Our 2-2 draw with Liverpool in our last outing marked Roberto De Zerbi's 50th game in charge.

During that time we have amassed an impressive 24 wins, scoring 102 goals and qualified for European competition for the first time in our history.

Every win from De Zerbi's first 50 games

We have selected five of the best, but there were plenty more that could have made the cut.

Extended PL Highlights: Albion 4 Chelsea 1

In a red-hot atmosphere, Graham Potter returned to the Amex a little over a month after his shock departure to Chelsea. Potter had enjoyed an unbeaten start at Stamford Bridge while Roberto De Zerbi was yet to taste victory since taking the job at Albion.

In a sliding doors moment, De Zerbi’s men claimed an impressive 4-1 win having raced into a three-goal lead by half time. Six months later De Zerbi’s Albion were heading for Europe.

A scintillating display at the Amex saw local lad Solly March grab an impressive brace and Danny Welbeck get in on the act with a Gascoigne-esque goal to round off a dominant victory over Jurgen Klopp’s men.

There’s an argument for a lot of other victories to be on this list, but the six-nil thrashing of Wolves was even more remarkable when you consider the number of changes made by De Zerbi. Alexis Mac Allister, Moises Caicedo and Kaoru Mitoma all rested at the end of a week that had seen an agonising FA Cup semi final exit and a chastening 3-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest. However, the response was emphatic as Deniz Undav, Pascal Gross and Danny Welbeck put Albion four goals up by the break. Welbeck and Undav added further gloss in the second half as the result rekindled the side’s European dream.

Arsenal 0 Albion 3

Extended PL Highlights: Arsenal 0 Albion 3

We’ve enjoyed a few trips to the Emirates in recent years but none as sweet as this. Julio Enciso’s close-range header set Albion on their way to a stunning win that all but ended the Gunners’ title hopes. Pervis Estupinan added the third in injury time sparking a knee slide from the boss in a shell-shocked stadium. The three points paved the way for Europe, as a week later victory over Southampton clinched European football.

PL Highlights: Man United 1 Brighton 3

A year on from the club’s first ever win at Old Trafford, and the Seagulls were at it again. Danny Welbeck haunted his former employers as he put us 1-0 up, before second half goals from Gross and Joao Pedro put the game out of reach to mark De Zerbi’s first year in charge with a memorable triumph in Manchester.
