We’re proudly supporting local hospice charity Martlets and their Shaun by the Sea art trail, in collaboration with Wild in Art and Aardman.
From Saturday 9 September until Sunday 5 November 2023, we’ll have our very own Shaun the Sheep sculpture outside of the club superstore at the American Express Stadium.
Our Shaun the Sheep is one of 42 large sculptures that will be displayed around Brighton & Hove as part of the trail. As well as the larger sculptures, there will be 77 little Shaun the Sheeps that were designed by schools, nurseries, community groups and care homes. Keep an eye out for the Shaun the Sheep created by Rudyard Kipling school, which is an ode to Albion!
If you come to visit Shaun the Sheep at the Amex, then be sure to take part in the art trail by downloading the app and entering the four-digit code on the sculpture to unlock an exclusive, limited-edition reward.
About our Shaun
Our Shaun the Sheep is named the ‘South Downs Shaun’ and was designed by local artist Kitty McCurdy.
Kitty said about the design, “The inspiration for Shaun comes from the rolling South Downs, with wildflowers crawling up his legs and the expressive landscape stretching across his body.
I love that Shaun is being placed at the American Express Stadium which has as its backdrop, the amazing environment that inspired the design.”
