Five of our women's team players have been called up to their respective international teams for the upcoming Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
England – Katie Robinson
Katie is with Sarina Wiegman's senior Lionesses squad after receiving her World Cup call up at the end of May.
Robinson was part of the England squad to win the Finalissima in April before their World Cup preparations began in June.
The 20-year-old is the youngest player in the 2023 England World Cup team in what is her fourth senior call-up, and the champions of Europe will be hungry to add to their trophy cabinet in Australia and New Zealand this summer.
Korea Republic - Geummin Lee
Lee will head to Australia and New Zealand with Korea Republic this month after being named in Colin Bell's World Cup squad.
The Albion forward was a regular for Bell last season, and will be aiming to positively contribute for her country in this tournament.
Korea will be competing in Group H where they will face Germany, Morocco and Colombia.
Norway – Guro Bergsvand
Guro has been named in Norway's World Cup squad and they will play in Group A against the Philippines, Switzerland and hosts, New Zealand, where she will face Albion teammate - Rebekah Stott.
Australia – Lydia Williams
This is Lydia's fifth World Cup campaign for Australia after being named in Tony Gustavsson's final 23-player squad on home soil.
The Matilda's will play in Group B against Republic of Ireland, Nigeria, Canada and will look to start strongly against the Girls in Green on July 20th.
New Zealand – Rebekah Stott
Rebekah will be representing New Zealand in what will be her third World Cup for the Football Ferns.
The Ferns will face Norway, Philippines, and Switzerland in Group A.
Managing Director, Zoe Johnson, expressed her delight for the five Albion players' success in representing their countries at the tournament.
She said, "This is an incredibly exciting summer for women's football as we prepare for a memorable tournament in the Australia and New Zealand World Cup.
"It's important that we continue to build positive noise during this competition and we are delighted for Lydia, Rebekah, Katie, Lee and Guro who have been selected to represent their countries - they should be extremely proud of this achievement.
