Moises Caicedo will miss our New Year's Eve game against Arsenal through suspension.

Moises Caicedo will be a big miss for Albion against Arsenal according to Solly March, as the Ecuador international serves a one-match suspension.

The 21-year-old picked up his fifth booking in the 3-1 win over Southampton on Monday, which spells the end of a run of 23 consecutive Premier League starts since his debut in the 2-1 win at Arsenal in April.

“He's been incredible since he first came in,” Solly said. “Every game he's been one of our best players. He's a rock, he’s solid, he's hard to beat and we'll miss him.

“But we've got Billy [Gilmour] and other players who can come in and do just as good a job, but Moises will be a miss for sure.

“The way he came in and filled Yves [Bissouma’s] shoes after he left in the summer was incredible really. I don't think anyone saw it happening that quickly, it has been remarkable.”

Solly has himself come in for glowing praise, having netted a 25-yard stunner at St Mary’s.

“It was a fun day for everyone. We played good football and I think that's down to the hard work we put in during the break and the gaffer has been on us to make us work extra hard and it's paid off.

“I've watched my goal back a few times but I don't want to watch it too much. A few tap ins would be nice to add to the tally, I can't rely on 25-30 yarders every week!”
