Kaoru Mitoma couldn’t quite believe that his first Albion goal was a header.
The tricky winger has started in Albion’s wins over Chelsea and Wolves, making his mark at Molineux when he beat Wolves keeper Jose Sa with a far-post header.
“I was a little bit surprised myself,” Mitoma joked. “But I knew Adam [Lallana] would put a good cross into that area, so you have to give him credit for the assist. I'm just glad that in went in.
“I was hoping to get into the starting lineup again [after playing against Chelsea]. It was important for me to make an impact against Wolves, but now I need to switch my focus onto the next game.”

Roberto De Zerbi has been impressed with the former Kawasaki Frontale player and has told the 25-year-old to keep his head down and carry on working hard.
“[The head coach has told me to] just try and read each situation during the match. We train a lot on how to move the ball as a team, so that is our main focus.”
De Zerbi added, "Mitoma I think has very big potential, and he hasn’t show all his potential yet. He can improve a lot and he can become a very big player for us."
