Men's Season Ticket Holder Nominees

Allison Brett

I am passionate about the club and ensuring that supporters receive the best possible experience. I would love to become part of the rich history and heritage of this wonderful club by contributing to a forum which helps the club continue to grow and improve and enrich its local community through sustainable and inclusive practises.

Allison is very passionate about everything she does and will demonstrate commitment to this role. I am happy to provide a character reference for her. - Robert

Michael Edmondson

We all support this club and its teams. We want it to succeed but appreciate the hard work involved. We can learn as much from defeat as a victory. We arrive at matches from all parts of the country and all have different experiences on the same day. The one thing we all have in common is the love of the club. The club and its fans have given me a new outlook and I would love to represent and speak for them.

Throughout the time I have known Michael, he has consistently shown himself to be responsible, trustworthy and approachable with an admirable ability to remain calm and positive across a range of demanding situations. I have every confidence in Michael's ability to deliver to the highest standards. - Steve

James Fullard

Fans should vote for me because I care a lot about the club and how we can improve both on and off the pitch. We have an amazing set-up with the facilities and the backing. We can definitely help make this club an even bigger success than it is currently.

James would be a great addition to the advisory board. Very enthusiastic and dedicated, he travels home & away. Full of great ideas & a good communicator. - Adam

Niraj Haria

I’ve been a season ticket holder both before and after my accident which has led me to be in a wheelchair. I represent BAME. This allows me to offer a unique viewpoint. I’m a great communicator and collaborator. I played sport to a high level and so understand the interaction required between supporters and sportspeople.

Niraj is a reliable and responsible person who always takes a considered approach to everything he undertakes. He is able to offer a unique viewpoint having visited the stadium so many times both as able and less able-bodied. He would be a great ambassador for the fans, he is friendly, approachable and a great person to have in a team. - Nigel

Mark Howlett

I’m a well-rounded person, someone who has grown up in the tougher areas, to which football was my life through many years of attending season after season at games and I have grown with the experience to see what others don’t, to ensure the customer/punter/fan, is listened too of which my work role today supports the lead of over 300 employees to respect values, each other and keep evolving.

Mark is a lovely person with a lovely family. He is always a real pleasure to speak with and always a very positive person willing to help and support anyone. He would be an ideal candidate to support the club as an advisor for fans, as he has a good nature to help others and loves football too. - Joan

Thomas Hylands

Maintaining a close relationship with fans is vital in building the club. I would bring passion for building better communications with fans to the panel, along with a desire to represent everyone. Having sat in every stand, and with friends spread across the stadium, I believe that I would be able to give everyone a voice.

Tom is a very passionate, committed, and dedicated person who always gives his all to any situation he gets involved with. Tom also has an excellent rapport with people of all ages. This has been shown through his Scouting roles, where I have seen him inspire and challenge people in all adventures. I highly recommend Tom for a role on a fan advisory board as he will do his utmost to support with heartfelt enthusiasm. - Sonia

Andrew Lock

I believe that the fans are the core of the club and without them it would have no heart. Making the match day special for the fans, putting them first wherever possible should be key to the clubs culture and giving them a voice of substance to ensure all cultures, genders and ages feel they are treated equally should be obvious and visible.

He is a hardworking, dedicated family man who puts others first and is passionate about everything he does and will always give 100%. Professionally he is a hard working and passionate team player, always striving for improvements through alternative thinking and a challenging mindset. Andrew's qualities are rare and therefore I believe are perfectly suited for the Fans Advisory Board. - Terry

Gillian Martin

I have a long history of supporting the Albion but an eye on the future too. I am passionate about the club and want supporters to have the best possible experience. I have good communication skills and would work hard to ensure important issues are raised and hopefully resolved.

I’ve known Gill since 2011 when she joined North West Sussex Seagulls in our formation year. She has a professional approach to her business and is a capable, articulate, honest, reliable and trustworthy person. Being able to communicate effectively is one of Gill’s many strengths which I feel would make her a suitable candidate for this new position. I am more than happy to endorse and recommend Gill’s application for a position on this new board. - Mike

Anthony Noble

I would be able to represent the fans and put the cases in forward as they come up and also do this in a manner which would be understood by all parties. As a police officer dealing with problems and situations is what we are trained for no matter what area of business this relates too.

Tony is a talented public speaker and trainer, with particularly good people skills. His previous role as a serving police officer for over two decades gives him the presence and experience to deal with most people and situations effectively and to ensure that deadlines are met. I have no reservations in recommending him as an honourable and trustworthy person. - Peter

Sebastian Samrah

I connect with every generation of supporters; ranging from the Silent generation who were on the Goldstones terraces decades ago to the current generation who only know The Albion in the Premier League. I recognise that there are two sides to every story and that each situation must be evaluated thoroughly before passing judgement.

It is hard to imagine anyone better for this than Sebastian. He has been deeply engaged with the Albion all his life but, unusually, combines a club supporter’s passion with objective and intelligent insight. Aided by a wonderful education, culminating in a first-class degree and now employment in the sports sector, he will bring knowledge, lucidity and strong values to this task. I couldn’t recommend anyone more. - Bill

Jack Stephenson

Fans should vote for me as I think I can help give a voice to many different fans, who sometimes feel like they don't have a say in the modern football sphere. As a member of the passionate home and away support I think I can help influence decisions from a fan perspective that many will relate to.

I think Jack would be suitable for this role as he has a very keen interest in Brighton & Hove Albion having followed them since 2001. Jack is friendly and confident and doesn't judge people. He is reliable and fair in many situations. His decision-making skills would be great in the role as he is always quick to take in every viewpoint. Always looking to please and do his best in every situation. I think Jack would be a perfect candidate for this role. - Lisa

Nigel Summers

I have held a season ticket since The Goldstone, and am currently the Chairman of the Brighton & Hove Albion Supporter's Club, and a face you will be familiar with, home and away. I am passionate about the history of The Albion, proud of the current club and eager to help shape the future.

Since I've known Nigel, I've always known him to be passionate about The Albion and always to have the very best interests of the club at heart. As Chairman of the Supporter’s Club he has a high level of contact with the membership who are based throughout the country, and is regularly asked to contribute in the media on behalf of the Supporter’s Club. Nigel will be able to conduct himself in a professional manner in this role drawing on his business background and I believe he will be an asset to the Fan Advisory Board. - Paul

Benjamin Turner

In the famous words of fat boy slim “we’ve come a long long way together through the good times and the bad” and that’s true of me. I’m always accountable for my decisions and nothing in life worth having is easy. I can also work with people and the true essence of a fans forum is to listen to other peoples opinions. Lastly I’m passionate about the club the people and life is too short to waste opportunities like this.

First and foremost Ben is a great person. He’s ambitious, works well with people and is a huge asset to any organisation. I’ve been lucky enough to work with him for over 10 years and I know his passion for Brighton as he’s normally down the motorway on conference calls getting to a game. You would not regret having Ben within your forum. - Stuart

Monica Wiggins

I am enthusiastic, engaging and have the fans' best interest at heart. I am proud of and love the Albion and all what it stands for. A club, however, is nothing without it’s fans and I would be honoured to represent their voice.

Monica is an incredibly positive individual and would be truly committed to the cause. She has a reputation for getting things done. She is people-centred and friendly and is very popular among her fellow supporters in our block. I believe she is capable of representing a wide range of views and opinions and would be balanced in any advice she offered. I would be highly supportive of Monica‘s application. - Bob

Terry Woods

I am honest, trustworthy and have high moral standards. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to become the best they can be. I believe in hard work and believe that you should not take no for an answer in trying to achieve your dreams and aspirations. I believe anyone can achieve whatever they want if they are willing to work hard and believe in themselves no matter what background they come from.

Terry has proven to be a reliable and trustworthy friend, always at hand to provide support and perspective. Terry worked his way from art college and with hard work, discipline and good leadership made it all the way to a board director of a Sussex based kitchen manufacturer. I believe Terry has a wide range of qualities to provide ideas and input to the Fans Advisory Board, for the benefit of club and supporter alike. - Andrew

I grew up in the local area and understand the club's values and represent female football fans. Being a football fan and caring for the game I am passionate about what the club does for the community and fans from match day experiences and outside of the football game.

Mya is compassionate, respectful and driven to do well whether it is in her professional career or helping family members on a personal level. She invests a lot of time to pursue other activities outside of work that interest her and I can foresee she would give her best to this role as this is an area she is passionate about and she has mentioned the thought of a career change into football in the future. - Tahmidur

I believe passionately that if you are an interested party in any process, your voice should be heard. I believe that I am the perfect person to help facilitate this process, bringing over 50 years of supporting Albion, as well as many years of working within various businesses. I know I can help give the fans an effective voice.

Ian has many qualities that in my opinion would make him an ideal candidate for the Albion Fan Advisory Board. Ian is generous of time and company, intelligent, trustworthy, witty and has an eye for detail, as evidenced by his regular contributions to the club matchday programme over the years. In my opinion, Ian could be relied on to treat matters discussed in a professional manner that would benefit all stakeholders in the club. - Kieran

I am proud to be a Brighton fan and I am proud of everything the club stands for. I have supported the Albion since the late 70's and first went to the Goldstone Ground in 1979. My skills are within Finance and Operations, and I am a Trustee with two separate Charities. My role on the Fan Advisory Board will be to ensure that the club is listening and learning from its fans and I will represent everyone's views.

Jim would be a great addition to the Albion Fan Advisory Board. As a CFO / COO and qualified Chartered Accountant, he is suitably qualified to sit on any Board and has sat on Company Boards in the past. He is honest and trustworthy but also speaks his mind. Jim would represent the Fans in a true, fair, and honest way. - Damien

Jonny has acquired a huge wealth of skills and expertise during his working career - as a BBC sports journalist for over 12 years and then as a successful teacher over the last 10 years. He is excellent at communicating and establishing and then maintaining relationships. He has a great sense of humour and would be a huge asset to the club. - Brett

Simon Sheppard

The fans should vote for me, as I am a passionate Brighton fan, I have loved this club for over 40 years, I am vice-chairperson of Proud Seagulls, and am passionate about equality in football, especially in helping kick out homophobia in football, and helping anyone affected by homophobia.

Simon is an honest, loyal and knowledgeable person. He is currently the vice-chair of Proud Seagulls the LGBTQ+ fan group. Simon has attended Brighton Pride with the club and Hastings Pride with myself. He would be a valuable asset to the board with a good knowledge of the club, the game and the supporters. - Stuart

Benedict Spalding

I'm very fortunate that the Seagulls Social platform that I run gives me amazing insight and access to fans that want to talk about the club. I have great interactions with fellow Albion fans at matches and online. I'm confident that I'll be a great representative for the younger demographic

Ben is part of that team, responsible for managing Seagulls Social account and for content creation. They're making progress in a very competitive market, with a forthright presence on social media which, like it or not, is here to stay. With that in mind, Ben would be an enthusiastic and dedicated representative for young supporters. - Andy

1901 Club Member Nominees

Roger Alexander

I lived through the bad times and rejoice in the good times but know that these are only sustainable if the club continues to be run appropriately. I am approachable, a good listener and would work hard to represent the views of the wider fan base.

Roger is honest, straight-talking, professional in all his dealings and incredibly respected in all that he does. His experience as a senior financial services executive and his continued involvement as a NED in a number of high profile companies demonstrates the gravitas he carries. I have no hesitation in supporting his application. - Kevin

Pauline Anderson

My aim - to strengthen the relationship between the Club and its supporters through this new opportunity for fan engagement.  I will listen, represent, and ensure your views are heard and discussed at the highest level.

In short, why wouldn’t one invite Pauline to be further involved with The Club and Fans, unrivalled knowledge, a people person that understands the many emotions around a sports business, super organised, trusted by all, a gatherer of information and above all a genuinely committed unselfish good person that would enhance any organisation? - Martin

Jo Davis

It’s not about me but about me representing everyone’s opinions, grievances, thoughts and ideas and bringing them to the advisory board in a constructive and conscience manner. To bring my passion and enthusiasm for the Albion and help the growth of everything that is the Albion, resulting in a positive and cohesive future for all of us.

Jo has had experience as both a player, team manager and worked closely with the Sussex FA. She also has the ability to communicate with people at all levels which I feel would be key for this role. - Frances

Clive Steed

I am a proud supporter of BHAFC men and women teams and have enjoyed the experience of bringing my son and daughters to matches home and away. We are fortunate to have a well-backed and well-run club and to have the opportunity to have FAB's. I have many ideas of how to help improve the matchday experience and non-football commercial activities of the club. Ultimately, I will listen to fellow fans and try my best to represent them as a loyal BHAFC fan.

I feel Clive would be an ideal candidate for the advisory board. He has experience in engaging with large groups (employees, trade unions and customers). He listens to suggestions and gives feedback in an open and honest way. He is as comfortable talking to CEOs as he is with the man on the street and is always generous with his time to support people and listen to them. Last and by no means least he is a dedicated Brighton fan. - David

Teskey O’Neil

I just love talking meeting and talking to other Seagull fans, in fact, fans from any football team, with different views, ideas, and possible fresh ways of doing things, you can't beat talking about them as I do on both home coaches and away which I enjoy meeting different fans.

Teskey set up and runs Seagulls over Burwash since it started in 2010, a club which started with 35 fans going to the Amex, to now taking well over 100 in two coaches, he has a great way of communicating with all types of people, and is a great help to those wanting to get to Amex and away games. - Stephen
