Adam Lallana was substituted with an injury against Liverpool on Saturday.

Albion face Tottenham on Wednesday as they look to end a run of five successive defeats, kick-off 7.30pm.

It is Albion’s worst sequence since their promotion to the Premier League and they face a tough challenge of bringing that to an end against Antonio Conte’s men.

Albion’s early season form means they’re still in the relative comfort of mid-table and a win on Wednesday could lift them up to tenth, level on points with Aston Villa.

Spurs’ form has been hit and miss of late, winning three and losing five of their last eight. Those victories have included a 5-0 drubbing of Everton and an incredible 3-2 win at Manchester City, while their most recent defeat came at the hands of Manchester United on Saturday when a Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick secured a 3-2 win for the Red Devils.

FA Cup Highlights: Spurs 3 Albion 1

This is the first time Albion have faced Spurs in the league this season after the meeting scheduled for December was postponed because of Covid. They did face each other in the FA Cup when Spurs defeated Albion 3-1 at the end of January. Albion have won the last two Premier League meetings at the Amex against Tottenham.

Team news

Graham Potter gave an update on Adam Lallana and Adam Webster in his press conference on Tuesday afternoon.

"We’re just waiting for a scan result for Adam Lallana. He’s testing ok, so it’s not too bad. But we’re waiting on the scan to know the full extent. But it seems like it’s going to be a minor problem.

"Adam Webster is still unavailable, but everyone else is available, we’ve got good numbers to choose from."

PL Highlights: Albion 1 Spurs 0

We last played Spurs in the league in January 2021, when Leandro Trossard’s low strike finished off a fine move that saw Albion seal all three points at the Amex with a 1-0 victory.

Spurs player to watch

Harry Kane scored against Albion in the 3-1 win for Spurs in the FA Cup.

After scoring once in Spurs’ opening 15 Premier League games this campaign, Harry Kane has rediscovered the goalscoring touch that has made him known as one of the best strikers in the world. The 28-year-old has scored four goals in his last three league games, as well as chipping in with an assist, taking his tally for the campaign to 11 goals and three assists in 26 league outings.
