Albion boss Graham Potter is looking forward to welcoming fans back to the Amex.

Graham Potter is looking forward to the return of fans on a regular basis this season, starting against Getafe in tonight's pre-season friendly.

Only three Amex fixtures were attended by supporters last season, including the 3-2 win over Manchester City in the final home match of the campaign.

“It’s going to be really exciting and something we will need to get used to again in a positive way,” said Potter.

“The fans who were there against Manchester City were amazing, we were really helped by them to come from 2-0 down and they made it a special night.

Barber on latest covid measures

“It will be nice for our fans to see some of the players in the flesh for the first time. We hope we can play well and get the crowd behind us this season. There’s a lot to look forward to.”

Supporters will need to allow extra time to enter the Amex this season, although the club will do all it can to minimise delays, as new entry procedures come into force to help keep the stadium at full capacity.

Potter added, “The measures are complex and it may take a little longer to enter the stadium than usual but they’re there to help keep everyone safe, limit any risks of further spread and are a small price to pay if it means we can keep the Amex at full capacity throughout the season.”
