Alexis Mac Allister's late strike secured a point for Albion.

The lowdown: Albion picked up a deserved point at Selhurst Park thanks to Alexis Mac Allister’s late strike.

October

Palace scorer: Zaha 19 pen
Albion scorer: Mac Allister 90

The Seagulls had their rivals on the back foot for much of the game, but it was Palace who took the lead from the penalty spot when Tariq Lamptey was adjudged to have dragged down Michy Batshuayi – even though replays showed there was little contact on the Palace striker.

Wilfried Zaha converted, which proved to be the home side’s only shot on target, but the Seagulls were all smiles in the 90th minute when the Argentine latched onto fellow sub Aaron Connolly's lay-off, to drill home a rasping first-time effort and his first top-flight goal.

Graham Potter said, “They scored one goal from their only shot on target. One slight mistake can go against you and you have to respond. We did that well."

Mac Allister said, “It was a beautiful day because in Argentina it was Mother's Day and I dedicated my goal to my mum. She is one of the most important people in my life – I love her and miss her. I was so happy to dedicate that goal to her.”
