Danny Welbeck's strike against West Ham marked back-to-back goalscoring outings at the Amex.

Danny Welbeck admitted the gloss had been taken off his achievement of scoring 50 Premier League goals by West Ham's late equaliser.

His sixth of the season for Albion put them in front with six minutes to go but it finished 1-1 at the Amex after West Ham levelled through Said Benrahma.

“It feels like two points dropped,” said Welbeck. “We need to be better in those situations when we're one up and there's not long to go if we're going to get to the next level.

I was pleased with the goal. Percy [Tau] looks for that pass and I am dangerous running in behind.”

Welbeck's goal return is his best since 2014 and he feels there is more to come from him and Albion.

“I would have loved to have hit the Premier League 50 goal mark a lot earlier, it's been a tough time but I feel strong and sharp and there is so much more to come from me.

“As a team we would have liked to have been safe ourselves and not rely on other teams and with the players we have we should be looking further up the table.

“But it's those small differences in the games which are the harsh reality of the Premier League and we saw that today.”
