The Week Ahead: Pl2 And Premier League Action

By James Hilsum • 04 March 2019

There are two games for Brighton & Hove Albion teams this week, with both Simon Rusk’s and Chris Hughton’s sides in league action.

MONDAY 4TH MARCH: ALBION UNDER-23S V DERBY COUNTY, KICK-OFF 7PM

Rusk’s high-flying under-23 side play their first game in 17 days, as they welcome Derby County to the People’s Pension Stadium on Monday night.

Both teams occupy second and third places respectively in the Premier League 2 Division 1 table going into the game, with Albion looking to build on their impressive 1-0 win away at Manchester City last time out.

The Seagulls were beaten 1-0 by the Rams in this season’s reverse fixture back in October, as Jacob Butterfield’s goal proved to be the difference between the two sides.

Albion season ticket holders can gain free entry to the game on production of their cards at the turnstiles.

Otherwise, entry for non-season ticket holders is priced at £5 for adults, and £2 for over-65s/under-16s.

SATURDAY 9TH MARCH: CRYSTAL PALACE V ALBION, KICK-OFF 12.30PM

After Saturday’s vital 1-0 victory over Huddersfield Town, Hughton’s men now turn their attentions to a game away at Crystal Palace.

This season’s reverse fixture was arguably the most memorable result of the season so far, as a goal each from Glenn Murray, Leon Balogun and Florin Andone secured a 3-1 victory at the Amex back in December.

Two places and three points separate the two sides heading into the game, with Palace and Albion sitting 13th and 15th respectively.

Please note that tickets for the game have now sold out.
