Brighton & Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton says it doesn’t get more difficult than facing Liverpool, but feels his side are heading into the game at a good time.

Albion host the league leaders at the Amex on Saturday on the back of a four-match unbeaten run in all competitions, and Hughton highlighted the importance of facing the Reds following a series of good results.

He said, "At the moment, playing at home to Man City or Liverpool are the toughest games you can play.

"Can we go into the game with some comfort? We can until kick-off time and then it's about how you perform on the day.

"They will be big favourites, as everybody would imagine, and it will be us doing as well as we can on the day.

"I'd certainly rather be going into the game in good form than in bad form.

"In this game, people won't expect us to get anything and anything we do get will be a bonus."

The Seagulls boss also spoke about Yves Bissouma’s progress since arriving on the south coast, and believes the Malian has the potential to be very successful at the club.

"He is still learning. He is a wonderful talent, probably one of the most talented players that we've had here.

"But it's just about nurturing that one. He is still young, he is still learning the language and he will get better.

"At the moment he is still developing. I think once he gets a good grasp of the language he'll improve."
