Brighton & Hove Albion striker Tomer Hemed returned for Queens Park Rangers in their 4-0 victory over Swansea City on Saturday, and the Israeli struck twice for the Hoops, in what was a busy weekend for Albion’s loanees.

After back-to-back matches on the bench, the forward fired his sixth and seventh goals for QPR against the Swans, helping towards a much-needed win to move further clear of the Sky Bet Championship relegation zone.

Richie Towell featured for just under an hour against Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium, as Rotherham United came back from 2-0 down to secure a point — but the Millers remain in the drop zone with four matches remaining.

Elsewhere, under-23 striker Aaron Connolly came off the bench in the 68th minute to make his debut for Sky Bet League One leaders Luton Town, but the Hatters lost their 28-game unbeaten run after a 3-1 defeat to Charlton Athletic at The Valley.

George Cox returned from injury as a 90th-minute substitute in Northampton Town’s 1-1 draw at home to Mansfield Town, while Ben Barclay was introduced for the final 22 minutes for Notts County, but the Magpies went down 3-0 at Crewe Alexandra.

In non-league, Joe Tomlinson helped Bognor Regis Town secure a 1-1 draw against Harlow Town, but Tom McGill was on the losing side as Basingstoke Town were beaten 3-2 at Poole Town.

Outside of the UK, Percy Tau, Tudor Baluta and Jan Mlakar were all involved in narrow victories for their respective clubs, while Billy Arce claimed an assist for CS Emelec in their 2-2 draw against Deportivo Lara.
