Glenn Murray has scored his 100th Albion goal.
Brighton & Hove Albion striker Glenn Murray secured his place in the club’s record books, as he became the post-war record goalscorer after firing his 100th goal in Saturday's match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 35-year-old reached the milestone with his sixth Premier League goal of the campaign, which added to his 14 strikes across all competitions for the Seagulls last season.
Murray’s winner against West Ham United moved him level with Kit Napier on 99 goals for the club, but the forward’s clinical finish against Wolves cemented his place in Albion history.
After joining from Rochdale in 2008, the striker hit the ground running with two goals against Crewe Alexandra on his home debut, before hitting the back of the net another seven times during his first season at the Withdean Stadium.
Another three seasons passed and Murray stretched his goal tally to 57, with 22 strikes contributing towards Albion’s successful charge for the 2010/11 League One title.

Murray departed ahead of Albion’s debut season at the Amex Stadium, but after spells with Crystal Palace, Reading and AFC Bournemouth, the forward returned on an initial loan deal from the Cherries in 2016.

Just like he managed on his Withdean debut, Murray scored a brace on his first appearance for the Seagulls at the Amex, as he furthered his club account in Albion’s 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest.
It proved to be the start of his highest-scoring season for the club, as he signed permanently and notched 23 goals in the Sky Bet Championship to help Albion secure Premier League football on the south coast.
Murray sat 20 goals away from reaching the century mark at the beginning of last season, but 12 Premier League goals and two in the Emirates FA Cup put him within six strikes of making history.
Recent goals against Manchester United, Fulham (2), Southampton and West Ham put Murray within touching distance, before his effort in front of 30,000 fans at the Amex memorably moved him into treble figures.
To celebrate Murray’s 100th goal, Albion fans can purchase a range of merchandise at to mark this historic milestone.
