Dunk Receives Second England Call

By Kieran Cleeves • 08 November 2018

Brighton & Hove Albion defender Lewis Dunk has been included in England’s squad for upcoming home fixtures against USA and Croatia.

The 26-year-old was an unused substitute in last month’s games against Croatia and Spain, but could make his England debut at Wembley Stadium over the coming ten days.

Gareth Southgate’s side welcome USA for an international friendly on Thursday 15th November, before hosting Croatia in the UEFA Nations League on Sunday 18th November.

Dunk will report for training at St George's Park on Monday 12th November, as the Three Lions prepare for their final matches of 2018.

The defender will then return south after the Croatia game, in preparation for Albion's Premier League fixture against Leicester City at the Amex Stadium on Saturday 24th November.

Albion first-team coach Paul Nevin will also join Dunk on England duty, after being included in Southgate’s coaching staff for both matches — as part of an initiative from the FA to ensure BAME coaching placements across all England squads.
