By Alex Stedman • 12 March 2018

Brighton & Hove Albion under-23 defenders Ben White and Ben Hall were both on winning sides this weekend in Sky Bet League Two.

White helped Newport County keep a clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Yeovil Town at Huish Park, providing an assist as he moved to right-back during the contest in Somerset.

Hall helped Notts County to a 2-1 win away to Forest Green Rovers at the New Lawn, meaning Kevin Nolan’s men continue their promotion challenge heading into the latter part of the campaign.

Mathias Normann’s Molde side got their Norwegian Tippeligaen season underway in style with a 5-0 win at home to Sandefjord, putting them top of the table after the first round of fixtures - the Albion midfielder played the full 90 minutes.

Soufyan Ahannach played 74 minutes of Sparta Rotterdam’s 2-0 win away to Roda JC in the Dutch Eredividsie, as the side secured back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

Back in England and in League One, Christian Walton’s Wigan Athletic drew 3-3 with Scunthorpe United in a dramatic game at the DW Stadium - the Latics occupy third position in the table, two points behind Shrewsbury Town in second.

Richie Towell featured in Rotherham United’s 1-0 defeat at home to Rochdale, as the Millers stayed fourth, four points behind Walton’s side.

Futher down the football pyramid, Bailey Vose kept a clean sheet in Welling United’s 1-0 win at East Thurrock United, keeping the Wings in the play-off picture in the Vanarama South.
