Free Men’s Health Event At The Amex

By Richard Morris • 06 March 2018

Albion in the Community is holding a free men’s health event at the American Express Community Stadium this Saturday.

The drop-in event, which is part of the charity’s Speak Up Against Cancer campaign, will take place on Saturday 10th March between 10am and 3pm.

With the Seagulls playing away to Everton that day, AITC is hoping fans not making the trip to Merseyside will instead visit the Amex.

Everyone who attends will be entered into a free prize draw to win a signed Brighton & Hove Albion shirt as well as being given a voucher for 10% off at the Stadium Superstore that day.

Free general health advice will be on offer, including advice on dealing with stress, and top tips on staying fit, carbon monoxide measuring and information on maintaining a healthy blood pressure. A consultant dermatologist, Dr Russell Emerson from Laser and Skin Clinics, Hove is also supporting the event by carrying out the mole checks.

AITC’s Speak Up Against Cancer team will also be on hand to talk about prostate health and share signs and symptoms of a range of different cancers.

The men’s health event will take place in the Brighton Diagnostic & Treatment Centre in the East Stand and the day is being supported by Brighton & Hove City Council and NHS Brighton and Hove Clinical Commissioning Group.

Parking is free and visitors can come for as long, or short, a time as they like.

AITC’s health manager Siobhan Meaker said: “If you’ve not travelled north to cheer on the lads, why not get a group of your mates together and head to the Amex? We all have questions about our health, so here’s the chance to speak to the experts.”

Please note, the 10% off voucher offer does not include sale items or home kit.
