U23 Preview: Albion V Aston Villa

By Kieran Cleeves • 04 February 2018

Brighton & Hove Albion’s under-23s take on Aston Villa at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre on Monday evening, kick-off 7pm.

The match was originally scheduled for the Checkatrade.com Stadium, but the match has now been moved to Albion’s training ground in Lancing.

The Seagulls head into the match after last Monday’s impressive 2-0 victory against Newcastle United in the north west - which left Simon Rusk’s team in sixth position in the league table.

Albion are three games unbeaten in all competitions, with victories also coming against Sunderland and Whitehawk in the Premier League Cup and Parafix Sussex Senior Cup respectively.

Villa occupy second position in the league table after 15 games - one point behind leaders Blackburn Rovers - with back-to-back victories coming in their previous two games.

The West Midlands club beat Southampton 4-1 away from home, before sealing an emphatic 4-0 win against Middlesbrough last time out.

Albion supporters can follow a live text blog from Monday’s game on the Match Centre, with a match report being published after the full-time whistle.

Tickets for the game are available at seagullstickets.com - but fans are reminded that tickets go off sale at 5pm on Monday. Supporters must show their ticket on arrival at the training ground, with no tickets available to purchase on site.
