Brighton & Hove Albion’s Carabao Cup second round tie with Southampton at the Amex on Tuesday 28th August, will see the use of Video Assistant Referees.
The game will be one of four Carabao Cup ties using VAR next week, along with Fulham v Exeter City, Leicester City v Fleetwood Town and Everton v Rotherham United.
It will be the third time Albion have been involved in a contest which will use the VAR – following last season’s Emirates FA Cup ties against Crystal Palace and Manchester United.
