Alexis Mac Allister has started four out of Albion's last five Premier League matches.

Alexis Mac Allister's form hasn't gone unnoticed by Graham Potter, who has been pleased with the midfielder's efforts.

The 22-year-old has started four of Albion's last five Premier League matches, getting the assist for Neal Maupay’s winner at Leeds and nearly setting up another for the Frenchman against Fulham.

“We are happy with him,” Potter said. “He has had a frustrating time for various reasons. It is not so straight forward just to settle from another country and continent.

The Argentinian has his hands on his head after Neal Maupay narrowly fired over against Fulham.

“He has had to adapt to the Premier League, to new teammates and a new club. You can pick up things along the way that set you back but he's a fighter and a good character and now we are seeing his quality. I'm really pleased for him.

“He has had a period where he has had some games and a run in the team. He is enjoying his football and when players do that, it's generally positive.”

Potter is hoping to welcome back a few faces after spells on the sidelines soon.

Danny Welbeck could be back involved next week after missing Albion's last five league matches.

“Danny Welbeck is getting close to returning, hopefully next week he will be training or be available –  we will see how he goes in the final stages of his rehab.

“Tariq Lamptey is still two or three weeks away I would guess, so that's obviously disappointing for us.

Adam Lallana has had another couple of training sessions, he had a nasty illness and it wiped him out a bit. We need to be careful with him, but he's a little bit closer.”
