Robert Sanchez has made six Premier League appearances since his debut at Spurs.

Rob Sanchez believes the regular top-flight action he has got under his belt over the last month is helping him to become a better goalkeeper.

The Spaniard has started the last five Premier League matches but is keen to keep on working hard in order to maintain his place between the sticks.

He said, “I've had six games in the Premier League now and am feeling good, it makes me very proud.

“I just keep working as hard as possible to keep my place. Every game is a new experience and a learning process for me.

“No matter the result there is always something you can take from a match and work on to get better.

“I am loving it at the moment because it is a dream come true for me, although it's hard sometimes when the result doesn't go your way and you feel like you could have done better, but that's all part of the process.

“I am making progress in all areas at the highest level. For instance, the pace of the game is fast and that impacts on things such as decision making in particular moments.

“In every game I feel like the team is learning and getting better, but we want to keep pushing on.”

Sanchez made his debut against Tottenham in October and began his latest run in the team with a clean sheet and man of the match performance against Fulham at Craven Cottage in December.

Since then he has made impressive saves against Sheffield United and Arsenal at the Amex and spoke about a stop against the Gunners in more detail when he denied Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang saw his effort somehow kept out by Robert Sanchez.

“It was nice to get the clean sheet against Fulham when I came back into the side and there have been other moments I am happy with too.

“The save from Aubameyang was an instinctive one to be honest. Bukayo Saka put in a really good low ball into the area and I saw Aubameyang coming in really quickly in front of me.

“I couldn't really come for the ball so I just tried to find a position to make myself as big as I could and the ball hit me, so it worked out well.”
