Graham Potter spoke to the media on Thursday afternoon ahead of this weekend’s game with Everton at Goodison Park.
The Albion head coach emphasised the importance of his side putting the last two results against Manchester United behind them but wants them to take last weekend’s performance into the challenge of facing a side who’ve won every game this season.
How’s the mood in the squad ahead of the weekend?
“After the game last night, we were disappointed, because if you don't win that's natural.
“But you want to try and get back to focusing on the next game as quickly as you can.
“The boys are looking forward to the weekend and they trained well today [Thursday].
“The group have always been good in terms of their perspective and the challenge is to be ready for Saturday.”
Did the manner of the defeat last weekend make it more difficult to take?
“What we chose to do was focus on the good things we did in the game and recognise the things that we can do better.
“After the game it was sore. But our job is to analyse the performance correctly and then try to reproduce that in the next match.”
But the performance was a sign of how well things are evolving?
“On both occasions last year against Manchester United they were considerably better than us and we were well beaten.
“In that respect we've taken steps - not just in the Manchester United game, but in all of our performances so far this season.
“We feel that we could have had an extra couple of points so far. But at the same time, that's an indication of what we need to do to improve. “

How impressed have you been with Everton so far this season?
“They have been really strong and made a good start. They've invested well in this window with a very experienced and high-quality manager.
“He's done a really good job there since coming in and stamped his authority on the team.
“They've got some really top players and they're a good team with a solid balance. We know it will be a difficult game.”
