Albion under-23s goalkeeper Roco Rees has joined Isthmian Premier Division side Worthing on a season-long loan.
Rees joined the Seagulls at under-12s level from Portsmouth, and enjoyed a short loan spell with the Rebels last season.
He said, “You play against men and get roughed up a bit when corners and balls come into the box. It’s a bit different to what I was used to but you need to learn and I really enjoyed it.”
The 18-year-old could make his first appearance of the new campaign this Saturday when Worthing head to Folkstone Invicta. They play East Grinstead next Tuesday in the FA Cup.
Under-23s goalkeeper coach Shannon Ruth is looking forward to seeing Rees progress in men’s football.
Ruth said, “This is a great opportunity for Roco to continue his development. He had a brief loan with Worthing last season and thoroughly enjoyed himself.
“He will continue training with us during his time with Worthing, so we will be able to keep close tabs on how he gets on. We wish him the best of luck.”
