Extended PL Highlights: Albion 1 Chelsea 3

Portsmouth have already played three times this season in the Carabao Cup, EFL Trophy and League One.

Kenny Jackett’s men beat Stevenage 3-1 on penalties after drawing 3-3 in normal time in the first round of the Carabao Cup.

That success was followed by a 2-0 win in the EFL Trophy against Colchester United at Fratton Park last Tuesday.

Their first League One game ended in a 0-0 draw at home to Shrewsbury on Saturday.

We last met at the Amex back in March 2012. Two goals from Spanish midfielder Vicente sealed a 2-0 win in the Championship for Albion.

Team news…

Jose Izquierdo and Christian Walton are still continuing their recoveries from injury.

Graham Potter revealed that Adam Lallana and Ben White will also miss the game on Thursday evening, but their injuries are not as bad as first feared after the pair left the field against Chelsea on Monday night at the Amex.

He said, "Adam Lallana is okay. It's not as bad as we first thought, he took some heavy contacts in the game and it was just that, not muscular.

"He'll be training at the end of the week hopefully, but he won't be involved tomorrow.

"Ben White is the same, he’s making good progress and we’ll look to get him training by the end of the week as well. It's good news on that front."

The head coach also confirmed that Davy Propper would feature for the hosts after missing the game with Frank Lampard's men at the start of this week.

"Davy will be in the squad and will play tomorrow," Potter added.

"He wasn't involved on Monday but we hope he can play a big part tomorrow night."
