Leandro Trossard believes the Albion were unlucky against Liverpool but was disappointed with the mistakes that led to the champions first two goals.
“You’re playing against the best team in the country, every bad pass they punish you,” Trossard said.
“In the first ten minutes we made two mistakes and they punished us – I think it’s a shame because we played well and had some chances.
“We tried to do our best, to create chances and I think we had the best chances in the first half. You have to take advantage of those opportunities and we couldn’t.
“I think we need to take the positives. We’ve got another really tough game again against a world class team in Manchester City on Saturday. We need to keep going until the end of the season.”

There is still a nine-point gap between Albion and the bottom three and Trossard is only looking forward.
“We don’t look at the table, we just try to take it game-by-game to get as many points as possible,” added the Belgian.
Tariq Lamptey was again a shining light in the Albion performance and Trossard is among his growing list of admirers.
He said, “Tariq has been really good in the past few games, he’s really fast, but he’s also really dependable. He’s a good player for us and he will keep on learning because he is so young, I think he has a bright future.”
