Graham Potter insists that the positivity in his squad was evident before the win over Arsenal and has praised their mentality ahead of tomorrow game at Leicester City.
The weekend’s results saw the five teams below Albion pick up just one point between them, moving the Seagulls five points clear of 18th – but the head coach said that picking up the win was more important for the team than its effect on the league table.
He said, “I think it was more significant for us as a group. We have waited a long time so it was nice for us to get three points, regardless of whatever anybody else is doing.
"I think it gives us something to move forward with. Even though it’s a big three points we have to carry on.
“It was a great moment for us in terms of how it was achieved, and now we have to go forward, recover and get ready for another game on Tuesday.

“This time last week it wasn’t quite as positive so it’s amazing what a win does. The spirit among the players has been really good, the environment has been positive and that’s not easy when you haven’t won for so long.
“We want to do well and I have been in lots of situations where if results don’t go your way then the mentality, the mood, the environment can turn quite negative. That’s not been the case here, we’ve always been ready to fight for each other.
“We came back against West Ham twice to get a point so we’ve come back before.
"It’s nice to turn a game around because that’s not easy in the Premier League, but I think those things have always been important in the teams that I have worked with – to be able to fight for each other, to run for each other, to work hard for each other, they’re fundamentals.”

Tomorrow’s visit to the King Power sees Potter face Brendan Rodgers. The former Liverpool and Celtic boss a man he respects.
“I am a big admirer. He has given real clarity, a real identity, a real structure,” Potter added.
“They can attack in different ways – they’re good in possession, but can also really hurt you on transition and on the counter-attack.
"They press well and can defend deep, as you’d expect from a team in the top four in the Premier League and in the Champions League spots. All-round, they are a really good team and I think Brendan has done a fantastic job there.”
