Albion fans were delighted when Aaron Mooy put pen to paper on a new three-year deal back in January.
Rightly so, because after arriving initially on a season-long loan from Huddersfield Town last August, the Australia international caught the eye with some influential performances for Graham Potter’s men.
The 29-year-old had to wait until the 2-0 win over AFC Bournemouth at the Amex in December for his first goal for the Seagulls, but his energy and creativity in the middle of the park had already made a big impression.

The midfielder has played 22 times in the top flight and scored in the reverse fixture against Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth at the end of January.
The Aussie’s stats against this weekend’s opponents Arsenal from Albion’s 2-1 win at the Emirates Stadium back in December make great reading.
Mooy topped the charts for Albion with the most dribbles, passes and tackles by any away player that night.
He also provided the all-important assist for Neal Maupay to head home the winner late on and will be hoping for a similar impact when the campaign resumes on Saturday against the Gunners.
