Albion have again scored highly in the annual VisitFootball initiative, which looks in depth at supporter experiences on matchdays at the 20 Premier League clubs.

The club are assessed during the season with two visits as a home supporter, one as an away fan as well as a home and away fan visit as a disabled supporter and one visit to hospitality.

Visit Football look at a range of matchday experiences for supporters from buying tickets, club shop, catering, transport options and the post-match experience.

In their two visits to the Amex during the 2019/20 campaign, Visit Football scored Albion at 84.66% and 82.97% and the average score is a record for the club in the Premier League.

Albion’s scores have risen since they scored 78.92% on their first assessment in 2017 and the club were placed fifth among Premier League clubs this season.

Supporter Services Manager Sarah Gould said, “Visit Football do an extremely thorough assessment of all aspects of the matchday experience at the Amex for home and away fans and disabled supporters.

“They have highlighted areas they feel we can improve, one of which is developing our pre-match activities in the perimeter of the stadium and this is something we are working on.

“But we are pleased with our overall marks. We have a great matchday team who are committed to making everyone’s visit to the Amex as enjoyable as possible and this assessment is a recognition of their hard work.”
