Expressions of interest are now open for the Dual Career Academy.

Brighton & Hove Albion’s Women’s Dual Career Academy (DCA) programme (post-16) are inviting Expression of Interest for the 2020/21 season.

We are looking for talented footballers to become part of our U21s programme, which currently operates in The FA Women’s Super League (WSL) Academy League.

The programme offers talented young players (aged 16-20 years) the chance to combine their education with expert coaching to allow them to develop the skills necessary to become a professional.

We have links to Worthing College who offer a range of qualifications, including BTEC and A-level courses, if you are looking to relocate to the Sussex area. More information on the courses available can be found here, although this is not a requirement to be part of the DCA.

We also accept applications from players that are educated in a variety of other post-16 programmes, some of which may be based with host families, through their education networks, allowing players to study alongside their football with greater ease.

For players who may be entering into HE we also have a link with the University of Brighton who provide our TASS Delivery and support programme.

Women’s First Team Assistant Manager, Amy Merricks said, “Through the programme the players will have access to over 12 hours of weekly training/game play sessions, video analysis, strength and conditioning, educational workshops as well as competing in the FA WSL Academy League.”

“At Brighton & Hove Albion we are committed to developing home grown players with ample opportunity for players to train with the women’s first team whenever possible.”
